About me
Welcome to Olive Press Photography, my name is Olivia. I am 22 and currently live in Prince Edward Island though I was born and raised near Toronto Ontario. I have been an equestrian since the age of 5 and am still as in love with horses today as I was some 17 years ago.
I have been fortunate to ride and work for top trainers in Ontario, perhaps leading to my love for the Hunter and Equitation rings. It is my opinion that there is nothing more timeless or beautiful as brush filled fences, shadbelly's, velvet helmets, and scopey hunters.
I belive any day spent with horses is a good day and you should always be grateful for all this sport and lifestyle offers. I firmly belive one should always walk out of the show ring smiling because chances are you walked out better than you walked in. I sincerely hope you enjoy my work and appriciate the little wins and life through the lens of a horse crazy little girl who never grew out of the hose loving phase.
Photography
Since a young age I have loved photography. I use to take pictures of everything just to be able to capture an everlasting image I could always look back at and remember the memory within it. However as I started taking this interest a little more seriously I realized I was an awful photographer. At 13 I got my first real camera and although I do not claim to be a true professional of any kind, I do like to think I have a decent eye, and ability to capture quality images. While my strengths are in shooting equine related works I have dabbled in other areas as well: Proms, graduations, weddings, summer camps, hockey, figure skating, and landscapes.
"Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." ~ Elliot Erwitt
